What is the Who Am I Exercise?
The Who Am I exercise is a 30-minute experiential activity designed to help participants recognize the existence of personal assumptions and unconscious biases and the impact on behavior and decisions.
How can you use it? This exercise can be used as part of a workshop, lunch and learn or as a stand-alone exercise. The concept of bias can be a very sensitive topic and can lead to a charged conversation. Facilitators should be comfortable and knowledgeable discussing diversity and inclusion related topics.
Exercise Objectives: This exercise is designed deepen one’s understanding of their personal biases and how those biases can impact decisions and behaviors. It is primarily an awareness building exercise.
